    The Wahkiakum Mules golf team extended their inter-league record to 15-0 in a four-team golf match at the Highlands golf course in Cosmopolis on April 11. The winds were howling on a sunny day with gusts up to 30 miles an hour, and any stray shot found itself in the woods or down canyons on the tight front side of the Highlands course.     A beach cleanup of the Grayland / South Beach area of Pacific County will be held on April 20 starting at 9:30 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m. Volunteers should check-in at the Warrenton Cannery Road approach to pick up a garbage bag.     Wahkiakum County officials were disappointed Tuesday when county commissioners opened the only bid they received to build a ferry to replace the aging "Wahkiakum." The only bidder, US Fabrication, bid $8.5 million, which was more than double the expected cost. The marine engineering firm which designed the new ferry, Elliott Bay Design Group, estimated the cost at $4,335,000.
