    The Wahkiakum Mule baseball team suffered losses to two tough Central League opponents this past week. On Monday, the Mules lost 6-0 to Kalama. " We had an excellent approach at the plate versus a top notch Division 1 commit to Oregon," commented Coach Marc Niemeyer. "We also played very well defensively. Super proud of our efforts!"     Last Wednesday, Skyline Golf Course hosted its season opener for Men’s Club where two teams of five golfers dueled it out in a scramble format round. The winning team squeaked by with seven under (-7) to their opponents six under (-6). Last week's winners include David Froode, John Dudley, Dave McNally, Ken Azure, and Chris Davis.     Freshman Avery Wiltse-Hiatt spent her spring break playing three rounds of golf in Arizona, and it paid off as she led the Wahkiakum Mules boys golf team to victory with a 49, finishing fourth in a five-team, 16-person golf match at Newaukum Valley Golf Course in Chehalis on April 12.
