The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) is seeking nominations for working forest lands at risk of conversion to protect as part of the state Community Forest Trust. Community members who are interested in nominating lands must submit a proposal to DNR by June 17, 2016. Last Thursday, the Wahkiakum Mules track team traveled to Adna for their first meet of the season to compete against Adna, Mossyrock and Pe Ell. The Mules took first place in girls’ competition with 104 points. Freshman Trinity Klecker placed first in the 100 meter race with a time of 14.70.
