On April 12 at 6:00 p.m., Tom Welch, Washington State University Master Gardener, will discuss the advantages of vermi-composting which uses worms to break down food into compost. Learn how to manage worms to produce great compost while getting rid of food waste. Cost for the course is $30 per person. Participants will take home a worm composting bin that is ready to use. The Wahkiakum Mule golf team notched their first victories of the 2016 season Monday at home at Skyline Golf Course, scoring 211 to Raymond's 233 while South Bend and Willapa Valley both came in with incomplete's (which means they didn't have enough players to complete a four person match). The 2016 Wahkiakum Mule baseball season got off to a good start with four wins in the last week against Naselle, Vernonia and Mossyrock. Last Wednesday, the Mules beat the Naselle Comets 6-0 in a game that had been postponed due to rain the day before. Pitcher Zach Brown got the win. On offense, Z. Brown went 1-3.
