  • Youth Baseball kicks off with Skills Day

    Wahkiakum Youth Baseball will be kicking off the season with the Skills Day at the Wahkiakum Baseball Fields on March 13, from 1-3 p.m. All youth interested in playing baseball must be signed up on or before Saturday’s event. There is still plenty of room on the T-ball, Rookies, Major/Minors and Majors teams. All parents and community members interested in helping out with the season are encouraged to be there.     The Chamber of Commerce board met last week to start planning for the 29th annual Bald Eagle Festival and Wooden Boat Show. The board is asking the community to contact the chamber with theme ideas and suggestions for this year's Grand Marshal. The Eagle Fest Kick-Off will be at Stockhouse’s Farm on Puget Island, sponsored by Two Islands Farm Market,on July 16, with food and music.
