Robert M. Fauver, of Deep River, died at Longview Hospice Care Center on February 15, 2016 at the age of 88. The Naselle Grays River Valley High School girls basketball team ended their season with a 48-52 loss to Mary Knight in district play on February 15. Wrestlers in the Wahkiakum Mule wrestling program had a hard time in regional competition last Saturday. Rayanna Carlon placed fourth in her weight class and will be an alternate to the state Mat Classic Tournament this weekend at the Tacoma Dome. Carlon lost her first match, had a bye in the second round, and won her third match by two points. The Wahkiakum High School girls basketball team moved forward in the district tournament with a win against Raymond 60-43 on Saturday in Montesano. A big second quarter sealed the win for the Lady Mules, as they outscored the Gulls by 29-6. Peyton Souvenir scored 21 points. She also had eight rebounds, nine assists, six steals and two blocks.
