    News from Naselle: I had a note from one of the Westend folks attending the Naselle Booster Club Crab Feed last Friday evening. Poul Toftemark said the feed was “awesome,” and all the trimmings, just wonderful. In order to work off some of the goodness, he opted to attend the basketball game afterwards.   • Knitting group reconvenes

    Knitters, crocheters and others working with needles, yarn and threads are invited to join others of the same inclinations on Tuesdays, between 2:30 and 4 p.m. at the Chamber of Commerce office in the Scarborough Building. This is an informal group of people who are at every level of working with yarn and other fibers. The group started at the Trillium Bookstore and has been in hiatus for some time.   • Great White Tail Run art contest open

    Wahkiakum County 4-H has announced the 26th Annual Great White Tail Run art contest. Students K-12 are encouraged to submit original artwork for the run T-shirt design. Guidelines for art include being of simple design and to reflect the white tail deer or other refuge design. Artwork must include name, grade and school on back. Deadline for entries is February 16 to your school office or Wahkiakum WSU Extension Office. The winning piece will win $25 and T-shirt with the design and a T-shirt for the winner's teacher.
