    Last week the Wahkiakum Mules girls basketball team split games with Central League teams. They are in third place in league play with a record of 6-2, 7-3 overall. On January 6, the team traveled to Onalaska and lost 49-52. Peyton Souvenir and Macie Elliot led scoring with 17 points each. Souvenir added six rebounds, six assists and seven steals. M.     Despite matching the efforts of their competition in the first 16 minutes of the last two games, the Wahkiakum Mules boys basketball team continued their struggles in the second half and lost two more last week. Toledo came to town last Thursday and beat the Mules 66-40. Wahkiakum was down by two at the half, but the Indians came out in the third with a press and capitalized on turnovers.     Legislators of the 19th District will host a telephone town hall this evening (Thursday), 6-7 p.m. Sen. Dean Takko, Rep. Brian Blake and Rep. JD Rossetti can hear directly from citizens in the district about their ideas and comments.
