JA Wendt Elementary School Playground Clean-up Project This Saturday, August 3 from 9 a.m. to lunchtime, the Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has organized a volunteer clean-up project for the JA Wendt Elementary School Playground. Activities include re-painting all hopscotch, 4-square and basketball court lines as well as some areas on the large playground structure. Bark dust also needs to be raked while others can work on litter patrol. All paint will be provided but the PTO asks volunteers to bring any spare paintbrushes or rakes....

Each year hundreds of retriever dog owners compete to win a minimum of six qualifications in order to qualify for the Master Nationals in September. Post Office Food Drive--Today marks the beginning of a week long food drive organized through the Cathlamet Post Office. Donation bags will be distributed this week in your mail with Saturday marked as the pick up day. Due to a staff shortage, the post office may not be able to collect the bags from each home, so they have set up a donation barrel within the Cathlamet Post Office lobby.
