    A dozen young members of the Wahkiakum 4-H Chapter put their "Hands" and "Hearts" into a morning of community service on Thursday, April10.     Lots of smiles combined with sunshine to light the annual Kiwanis Club of Cathlamet’s Scholarship Golf Tournament on July 7, at the Skyline Golf Course in Cathlamet. Kiwanis hosts the event to raise funds for its scholarship awards to outstanding Wahkiakum High School graduating seniors.     Wahkiakum High School students and staff turned out for a victory assembly on April 1 honoring the March 2011 fundraiser benefitting the Doernbecher Children’s Hospital in Portland.
