Wow! The car show is here. Pre-registration is closed, but you can still enter the day of the show. Becky and Erinn will be taking entries at 6 a.m. Judging starts at 9 a.m. and every class has a trophy. Also there will be a People's Choice award and a Best of Show award. So get those old cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles, etc., ready and bring them out to the fairgrounds on Saturday. Wow! What an awesome Mud Wrestling turn out. Thank you to the brave wrestlers, you were all awesome. Thank you to Aunt Shirley and Aunt Marietta for putting such a wonderful event together. All monies raised will be used to build a lean-to, to put over the kids games at fair. They have raised half of their goal to put it up. Watch for more Mud Wrestling in the future. Greetings from the fair office. Saturday is the big Mud Wrestling Extravaganza. Gates open at 2 p.m. and wrestling starts at 4 p.m. Food will be served and there will be a beer garden. All funds from this event are going to make a better game area at the fair for the kids. Also the fair has both a bouncy house and carnival ride for fair this year. Greetings from the fair office. Wow! April is almost over and now the busy season starts. We have a lot of things happening out here at the fairgrounds this summer. We will be starting on our grants so that means a new goat, sheep and swine barn, new pavement and the third aisle of the horse barn will have the concrete put in along with an ADA walkway around the outside stalls. Wow! What a turnout for Turkey Bingo. Thanks to everyone who came out and played. Lots of fun was had by everyone even though we ran out of propane. Thanks to all the sponsors for all of the raffle donations and an extra huge thank you to Walmart in Warrenton for the TV. The fairgrounds will be busy in December. On the 4th we will have the holiday Bazaar, on the 11th we will have the Flea Market and on the 10th & 11th, and 17th & 18th we will have the Christmas Lighting drive-thru. Wow! We are in October. That means all the little ghosts and goblins will be coming out. Once again we will have the Halloween Carnival on October 30 from 4-7 p.m. Come out and play some games and enjoy some time with family and friends. All games are $1.00 each and you can win some awesome prizes. We will also have a costume contest with age divisions as follows: 0-4, 5-9, 10-14 and anyone over 14 including adults.
