Happy May to everyone. This month starts the busy season at the fair grounds. Several things will be going on at the fair grounds this summer. As you know we received a grant to upgrade the restrooms. As soon as Dollars for Scholars is over this will be taking place. Also we are going to have some electrical upgrades done at the fair. Wow! April is over and May is beginning. That means we only have three months until fair. There is going to be a lot of construction going on at the fairgrounds this summer. We will be getting the new bathrooms thanks to a grant from WSDA. Also the county and PUD are going to do some electric upgrades and there will be some insulation going in to the youth building soon. Wow! Another month is almost over, that means fair is getting closer. Your 2016 Fair theme is " 4-H- 4 EVER." Hope everyone had a great St Paddy's day and Easter. Tonight is the big St. Paddy's Day Carnival at the Fairgrounds. We will have several games for kids and a few snacks in the kitchen. Come out and find the Pot of Gold to win some prizes. Wow! Another month has slipped away. The fair grounds will be getting some new looks this year. A huge thank you to Board Member Becky Thacker for working so hard on a Health and Safety Grant from the State. We were awarded $89,964.00 to remodel the bathrooms. This is awesome. Wow! We are starting a new month and that means we are one month closer to the fair. Some events that the fair will sponsor in February are The Flea Market and the Valentine's Dinner. Wow! Halloween weekend is here, that means it’s time for the Haunted House and Halloween Carnival. The Haunted House starts tonight (Thursday) and runs through Saturday. The times are Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 5:30 to 11 p.m. The cost is the same as last year; $3.00 per person but if you bring three food items you can go through the Haunted House for only $1.00. Wow! The car show is almost here. This Saturday, May 23 will be the final clean up day at the Fairgrounds so if you have some spare time drop by and lend a hand to pull a few weeds or do the final touches of cleaning in the grange booth. The Halloween Carnival and Haunted House open tonight at 5 p.m. Jason Rainey and his volunteers have made my cow barn into a Haunted House. It will never be the same. I promise if you come you will leave scared. There are lots of ghosts and scary things to see, so don't forget to stop by.
