    The Holiday Market and Wahkiakum Lighted Parade will go on rain or shine at the Elochoman Slough Marina, so bundle up in warm clothes and don’t forget your umbrella.     If you missed the Wahkiakum Lighted Christmas Parade last year, don’t worry, this year is shaping up to be even bigger and better. More good news is that the Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce has kindly offered to host the parade and cover the insurance required to operate on town streets so we can have an even bigger procession.   • Group of volunteers starts beautification

    The Wahkiakum Blooms made their debut on Main Street this week with Phase I of their downtown beautification project. This project was started last fall with a brainstorming session to put together a strategic plan to encourage visitors to spend more time downtown creating more activity for local businesses.
