Tidy Up the Town, sponsored by Pioneer Community Association, will take place on Saturday morning, April 28 from 9 a.m. to noon. Please join us at the Community Center at 9 a.m., and bring your work gloves, shovels, rakes, hoes and wheelbarrows! We will work on weeding and cleaning up the sidewalks and flower beds around the Library/Community Center and the Waterfront Trail from the stairs at the point to the bridge. On Tuesday, March 27 at 6 p.m., Wahkiakum Health and Human Services will host an open house at the former Congregational Church building on Maple and 3rd in Cathlamet. Next Wednesday, February 21, from 2-4 p.m., will be our first Wahkiakum Outdoors presentation with Andrew Emlen. He will be focused on the two species of pelicans which inhabit the Lower Columbia River region. Andrew is a well-known birding expert in the local region and is a river kayaking guide.
