STILL SUNNY--As I begin this column, we’re still enjoying the sunshine although a few sprinkles did appear in a couple of spots over the weekend but as usual, not everyone got them. SUNNY DAYS--It looks like we’ve been given a dry stretch of weather this week, although we did get a slight bit of moisture over the weekend. Of course it was very slight and only fell in some areas, but I thought it was still nice to have my leaf feeding plants get a bit of a drink at least. SUNNY START--After a weekend that saw a few showers out here in West Valley, we were back to sunny skies as this work week begins. Unless things change drastically, it appears we are in for a dry week, and even longer, so it looks like our Summer is going to continue for a bit. WARM WEEK--As the week begins, we’re seeing very warm temperatures again with my thermometers looking at temps in the low to mid-80s and that’s plenty for me. However, temps could rise a little higher just prior to the paper coming out and then by Friday, it’s supposed to cool down. Current weather models even show a chance of some showers on Friday, with temps at 70 degrees but who knows if that will show up or not, and beings it’s fair time, most would hope it does not, but it wouldn’t be the first time that we’ve been in a drought, on...

GREAT TIME--Another Bald Eagle Days festival is in the books and what a great time it was. Everyone was commenting how many folks were in town, how many vendors there were and how many things there were to do, besides all the music and food that was available, so kudos to the organizers and to all those who took part in the parade, etc.; it was terrific! NICE HOLIDAY--This past Monday was the Fourth of July and it was pretty doggone nice considering the forecast had been for rain, so the dry weather with some sunshine that opted to show up was great! HOT ONE--After complaining about all the dreary wet days, we’ve finally got some hot ones, and we’re complaining a bit about those too, as it’s just too hot! SUMMER IS COMING--While we begin this work week with some filtered sunshine through the morning cloudiness, we are being told by forecasters that a dry and warm stretch with lots of sunshine is coming our way this first week of summer, so that will be totally awesome! MAYBE NICE?--As we have seen, our June weather is definitely Spring weather; as in “springing a leak from every cloud” kind of weather! They say we may be in for a few dry days this coming week, but with temperatures in the low to mid-60s, it’s definitely not going to be setting any heat records. SOGGY--This past Saturday, when we hoped it would be nice and dry for the car show, we actually had over an inch and a quarter of rain by early evening; a real “sog-fest." DECENT BEGINNING--I’m beginning this column on Sunday, and it’s starting out fairly decent. FAIRLY WET--As I begin this column, the sun is actually shining but there have definitely been some wet moments to the day, and from the looks of it, we’ve got more of that kind of weather headed our way.
