On January 22, John C. Thomas Middle School held the Seventh Annual Hoops for Heart competition. Over 35 students were involved, said coordinator Mary Moonen. Each participant went out in the community and raised money for the American Heart Association. For this they won prizes depending on how much money they raised, and they got to play basketball. Weather it was 3 on 3, or just shooting foul shots, they all had a great time! Plus it got them out of class for an afternoon!
